VRangers adventures one day trek to padargad on 29th Dec 2013.

A square rocky massif, which just out from the ghats near Bhimashankar. The fort is unique & it offers a challenge to trekkers to climb. From the top one can see clear views of peth, bhimashankar, sidddhagad clearly.

About:

Padargad is situated in between Bhimashankar and Nagphani (Snakes hood).The base village is khandas which is about 25km from karjat. Padargad is adjoined to Bhimashankar on its one side’s end. From the Nagphani peak of Bhimashankar, one can see the mesmerizing view of the valley below and the semi circular cliff connecting to Padargad. The peak looks like Kalavantin durga from base.

Tentative schedule:

07.30 am: with breakfast will move towards khandas by local vehicle.

09.00 am: will be at Khandas.

09.15 am: with intro will start for trek.

09.45 am: First halt at Temple

11.00 am: will reach in coal for small patch climbing.

01.30 pm: will explore and start to descend.

02.30 pm: will have lunch.

03.00 pm: will move towards base.

04.40 pm: will be back in Khandas.

06.30 pm: will be in Karjat.

08.20 pm: in Thane.

Non-compulsory items but helpful:

VRangers Bhimashankar(shidichi vat) Trek on 9th ngt-10th July 2011

Trek: Bhimashankar Trek on 9 th– 10th july 2011

Last Date To Reg:- 6th July 2011 by 6.00 pm.
The charges for the trek will be Rs 350/- per head which includes breakfast, Lunch for Sunday , travelling from Neral to Karjat and refreshment.

Trek Schedule:
Our journey starts with the last Karjat local on sat 9th ngt, we will reach to Neral by 1.40am then we arranged private vehicle till Khandas. with some rest & breakfast will start trek via Shidichi vat (Ladder Route).it will take appx 4 hrs to reach bhimashankar. with mighty look of Temple (if possible ) and Lunch will decend via Ganpati Ghat.

5. Bedding and Extra clothes.

6. Torch with extra batteries.
7.Personal medicines & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution, mosquitoes cream.

8.A good trekking shoes, wind cheater extra Cloths.
