VRangers One day trek from Nakhind to Peb Base Via Traverse Route on dt 30th Sep 2018

Overview

Nakhind Trek in Matheran Range is one of the few scenic treks which is close to the city, yet secluded not frequently visited, the charm of being one of the few to have experienced this trek in its full monsoon glory, along with the commanding views from the top and the roaring winds, is guaranteed to leave you mesmerized.
The summit, which takes about 2 hours to reach, has a unique structure, a hole (“Nakhind”) in the dilapidated fort, due to which the wind sometimes makes a whistling sound! It is a beautiful feeling to sit inside this natural phenomenon and enjoy the lush green mountains and landscapes of Matheran.
What’s more is that your trek ends with a small gushing waterfall where you can laze and de-stress after the long tiring journey even the route passes through wild growth and has a steep gradient after the peak of Nakhind.
The treacherous traverse from the Nedhe of Nakhind to Peb fort base is a very rarely used so Not recommended for beginners.
