VRangers adventures trek to Dhak Bahiri caves on 27th Jan, 2013.

After successful execution of Moroshi-bhirav gad / irshaal gad trek once again vrangers organizing thrilling trek to dhakbahiri caves.this is one of the difficult trek in Sahyadris and famous for its Rock patches (while climbing in 90 degree you will see approx 200 feet valley) with long karjat route. So get ready to enjoy one more safe thrilling experience with us.

Trek: Dhak Bahiri caves.

Type: Hill forts.

Fort Range: Karjat.

Grade: Medium. (previous trek experience required).

Fort Height: 2700 ft.

Last Date to Reg. - 24^th Jan 2013

Max Participation: - 20 Rangers.

Cost: - 350/- (which includes traveling from Lonavala station till Karjat Station, breakfast, refreshment).

Those who are coming from pune they can meet us directly to kamshet station by 08.20 am.

Trek Schedule:-

The journey starts on 27^th morning with the Indrayani Express. People interested should catch this train from respective stations with ticket till lonavala station. (Plz get your respected stations at least half an hour earlier, as there might be a long queue for the tickets).

Train Timings: - Indrayani Express.

CST -- 5.35 am

Dadar – 5.50 am

Thane – 6.10 am

Kalyan – 6.35 am

Lonavla – 8.00 am

From lonavala we’ll catch Pune local train to reach kamshet.

Tentative Schedule:

08.15 am: Catch Pune local train to reach kamshet.
08.30 am: at kamshet.

08.45 am: will try to catch bus till jambhivali.

09.30 am: with intro will start for the trek.

11.30 am: reach to valley near kalakrai pinnacle.

01.00 pm: will reach to dhak caves.

02.15 pm: will start descend towards Vadap.

06.15 pm: will reach to vadap village.

07.15 pm: by local transport will reach to karjat station.

Here is a list of all the things that we need to carry for the trek:

Compulsory items: 

A proper two sided haversack to put all the things, So that one has hands free while trekking, id proof, Lunch for Sunday, approx 3 ltr water, Torch with extra batteries, Should ware good trekking shoes, full sleeve shirt/T-shirt & Full Pant, if you have any medical issue please carry your own medicine as we carry only First aid, carry some extra cloths.

Non-compulsory items but helpful: 

Cap, Sunglasses, Woolen Jacket, Camera , Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry  mosquito’s repellent, Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon, & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution.

VRangers trek to Caniyon Valley waterfall on 4th March 2012.

Folks get ready to enjoy chilling waterfall Shower under Caniyon waterfall.

Caniyon Valley fall is one of the most beautiful spot located between Lonavala and khandala. Along the Ulhas river, from khandala till Karjat is a valley which is named as Caniyon / Ulhas valley after the Ulhas river. The area is full of flora and fauna. The area is a popular destination for trekkers from Mumbai and Pune, it’s a different kind because on this trek where you start a trek with a descend, climb up to end the trek. It’s a kind of Opposite of regular treks. There is huge water fall down in the valley  where we will be spending at least one hour before starting our back journey.

The charges for this trek are Rs 180/- per head, which includes travelling from Lonavala to Lonavala , Breakfast, tea, refreshment .

People interested should reach thane station near platform no.1 (ticket counter) till 5.45 am, with a single journey ticket to Lonavla. (Plz get your respected stations at least half an hour earlier, as there might be a long queue for the tickets).

We will reach lonavla by 8.00 am, from here with breakfast we will start descend. In the afternoon with glorious view of valley & Waterfall will do lunch, Swimming & some rest. In the evening by 5.00pm will climb other side of the valley i.e. echo point of Khandala by 5.00pm. By 8.30 pm will back to thane.

VRangers On Demand Caniyon Valley waterfall trek on 22nd May 2011

After last moths caniyon valley trek  some people requested to reorganize this trek so we have decided to organize it once again  on 22nd May 2011.
