VRangers one day thrilling trek to Dhak Bahiri caves on 4th Aug 2013.

This is one of the difficult trek in Sahyadris and famous for its Rock patch. So get ready to enjoy one more thrilling experience with VRangers. Here we will be having approx 40ft rappelling while descending from cave as difficult getting down from same route.

Grade: Hard.

Fort Height: 2700 ft

Experience: *Proper Trek Experience required.

The charges for the trek are Rs. 500/- per head, which includes traveling from Lonavala station till Karjat Station, breakfast, refreshment.

Meeting Point: Kamshet Station at 8.30am.

Train Timings: - Indrayani Express

CST - 5.35 am Dadar – 5.50 am

Thane – 6.10 am Kalyan – 6.35 am

Lonavla – 8.00 am

Will Catch the Pune Shuttle at 8.10 am & get down at Kamsheth Station.

Trek Schedule:-

The journey starts with the Indrayani Express. People interested should catch this train from respective stations with ticket till lonavala station. (Plz get your respected stations at least half an hour earlier, as there might be a long queue for the tickets). From lonavala we’ll catch local train till kamshet. From Kamshet we will hire a jeep/tempo-pickup or travel by bus till Jambivali. We’ll visit Bahiri caves by covering the tough rock patch. While descending we’ll go to Vadhap then we’ll hire a jeep or rickshaw from Vadhap till Karjat.

08.00am: Get down at Lonavla station.

08.10am: Will catch the shuttle / local train for Kamsheth so please coordinate with leads for the same otherwise you miss the train.

08.30am: At Kamshet station.

08.55am: Move towards Kamsheth ST stand.

10.00am: With B/F will reach to Jambhivali village.

10.15am: With intro will move towards Bahiri caves.

12.10pm: Descend in the thrilling valley.

12.45pm: Will start 90 degree climb towards cave with some thrilling scenes.

01.35pm: Reach to caves and will have Lunch here.

02.35pm: Will rappel down patch.

06.35pm: Back to valley Ascend  & move towards Vadap village.

07.40pm: Will back to karjat tentatively.

Note: - As on experience and strictness of Villagers we are not allowing girls for this trek.

A proper two sided haversack to put all the things, So that one has hands free while trekking, id proof,Lunch for Sunday, approx 3 ltr water, Torch with extra batteries, some snacks, Should ware good trekking shoes, full sleeve shirt/T-shirt & Full Pant, if you have any medical issue please carry your own medicine as we carry only First aid, carry some extra cloths,Raincoat etc .

Non compulsory items:

Cap, Sunglasses, Camera , Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry, mosquito’s repellent, Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon, & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution etc .

After successful execution of Moroshi-bhirav gad / irshaal gad trek once again vrangers organizing thrilling trek to dhakbahiri caves.this is one of the difficult trek in Sahyadris and famous for its Rock patches (while climbing in 90 degree you will see approx 200 feet valley) with long karjat route. So get ready to enjoy one more safe thrilling experience with us.

Trek: Dhak Bahiri caves.

Type: Hill forts.

Fort Range: Karjat.

Grade: Medium. (previous trek experience required).

Fort Height: 2700 ft.

Max Participation: - 20 Rangers.

Cost: - 350/- (which includes traveling from Lonavala station till Karjat Station, breakfast, refreshment).

Those who are coming from pune they can meet us directly to kamshet station by 08.20 am.

“As this trek is called as toughest trek in Sahyadri and famous for its Rock climbing patches"
Hi friends, this is one of the difficult trek in Sahyadris. But the safety points are taken care of with well use of ropes.

Traveling and meeting point:- We will start our journey on 18^th ngt. Those who are coming from Dadar,CST, kalyan check given time table.

We will reach Lonavala by 11 pm. We need to catch another train from Lonavala to Kamshet. From Kamshet we have Private Vehicle till Jambivali. We will reach at base by 12.45 am. Then will have halt in Jambhhivali. With the breakfast will start trek by 7.15 am and by covering the tough patch of Bahiri cave till 10.30 am. will start descend by 12.15 pm and will reach till 2.15 pm to Jambhivali.with lunch will back to lonavla by 4.00pm. The returning time will be nearly 8.30 pm in the evening to thane.

(Note:-Every one will get their own ticket till Lonavala. You may see long queues for tickets. So get to the station considering these timings.)

Those who are coming from Pune they can meet us directly at Kamsheth by 11.oo pm on 18^th ngt Dec 2010. For further query plz contact to leads.
