VRangers one day trek to Caniyon Valley waterfall on 7th Apr 2013.

Hi Rangers,

Get ready to have chilling waterfall Shower under Caniyon waterfall Lonavla.Along the Ulhas River, from khandala till Karjat is a valley which is named as Caniyon / Ulhas valley after the Ulhas River. The area is full of flora and fauna. The area is a popular destination for trekkers from Mumbai and Pune, it’s a different kind because on this trek where you start a trek with descend & climb up to end the trek. It’s a kind of Opposite of regular treks. There is huge water fall down in the valley....where we will be spending at least 1 hour before starting our back journey.

Cost includes traveling from Lonavala to Lonavla, Breakfast, tea, eve refreshment etc.

People interested should reach thane station near platform no.1 (ticket counter) till 5.45 am, with a single journey ticket to Lonavla or can directly meet at lonavla west ticket counter. (Plz get your respected stations at least half an hour earlier, as there might be a long queue for the tickets).

Train Timings for Mumbai Rangers:

Catch Indrayani Express and get down at Lonavala station

CST: 5.37am

Dadar: 5.46 am

Thane: 6.05 am

Kalyan:  6.30 am

Lonavla: 8.00 am

Train Timings for Pune Rangers:

Catch Pune-Lonavala local and get down at Lonavala station

Pune: 6.27 am

Shivaji Nagar: 6.33 am

Talegoan: 7.16 am

Lonavala: 7.55 am

Trek Schedule:

08.00 am: Near Lonavala West ticket counter.

08.10 am: Move towards valley with breakfast and tea.

09.00 am: With introduction round will start Descending.

11.30 am: At Waterfall

12.30 pm: Lunch

01.30 pm: Start to ascend.

15.00 hrs: At Khndala Shooting Point.

15.30 hrs: Move towards Lonavla By Rickshaw.

17.00 hrs: Catch the train for Mumbai.

Here is a list of all the things that we need to carry for the trek:

Compulsory items

Lunch for the day  ,Id proof, approx 3 ltr water, Torch with extra batteries, some snacks, if you have any medical issue please carry your own medicine as we carry only First aid, carry some extra cloths, Cap, Sunglasses.

Noncompulsory items

Camera , Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry, mosquito’s repellent, Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon, & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution.
