VRangers Kalakrai climbing expedition on 19th Nov ngt & 20th Nov 2016

This pinnacle is quite famous and frequently visited by mountaineers. The way to the left of the ridge takes to the cliff, here we can experience approx 150 ft climb in 4 steps to reach top. Here on one patch we will traverse towards right side by a thrilling crux move and it gives real adventure while taking move.

3ltr Water, A proper two sided haversack to put all the things, one more small bag require while climbing (to carry water bottles, snacks and belongings)  So that one has hands free while trekking, Torch with extra batteries, some snacks, Should wear good trekking shoes, canvas shoes is advisable while climbing, full sleeve shirt/T-shirt & Full Pant, if you have any medical issue please carry your own medicine as we carry only First aid, extra cloths.
Non-compulsory items but helpful:
Cap, Sunglasses, Woolen Jacket, Camera , Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry, mosquito’s repellent, Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution. (It’s totally self responsibility to take care of things.)

VRangers One day trek to Patta fort on 16th October 2016

Patta Fort also known as Vishramgad, is a fort situated between Nasik and Ahmadnagar in Maharashtra. Shivaji Mahara jonce visited and rested there. The residents of Patta Killa are known as Pattekar, meaning "residents of Fort Patta".

History:-
This fort was in the Bahamani Empire. In 1490 when the Bahamani Empire was torn into pieces, this fort was captured by Nizam of Ahmednagar. In 1627 this fort was won by Moghuls. In 1671 Moropant Pingale captured this fort but, it was again recaptured by Moghuls in 1672. In 1675 this fort was captured again by Moropant Pingale. Patta used to be at the border of the Swarajya.
Shivaji Maharaj arrived at this fort in November 1679 after winning Jalnapur, the Mughal army trapped him from three sides. It was because of the skill of Bahirji Naik, head of the detective department that Maharaj, that he was able to reach Patta safely. On 11 January 1688, this fort was captured by Moghul army headed by Matabarkhan. He appointed Govindsingh of Bhagur as the chief of the fort. This fort was captured by Peshwas. In 1818 this fort was won by the British.

VRangers Thrilling Waterfall Rappelling at Ganpati Gadad on 24th & 25 th Aug 2013.

VRangers will be having two batches , First batch will leave mumbai on 23rd (fri) - Aug 2013 Ngt and second batch will leave on 24th Ngt(sat)-Aug 2013.
Remaining plan is same for both batches..............................
Waterfall Rappelling also technically known as canyoning are more often associated with technical descents those that require rappels (abseils) and rope work, down-climbing. An waterfall rappelling adventure sport is where you get down from a cliff/patch amidst the gushing waterfall.
Destination: Ganesh Caves / Ganpati Gadad.
Height: Approx 155 ft.
Max size: 30 Rangers.
Cost: Rs. 1000/-
(This includes breakfast, refreshment, travelling from dadar to dadar, Equipment-Expertise Charges & Lunch).
Extra Rappelling will cost INR 550/- Per chance, and will be permitted only after every person has done with his first chance.

VRangers one day monsoon trek to Harihar fort on 16 June 2013

Located in the Igatpuri region of the Sahyadris, it lies at an altitude of about 3500 ft above sea level. This fort is known for its triangular or prism shape. The facts of this fort are downright vertical with rocky steps embedded in them.
A small temple of Lord Hanuman and Lord Shiva can be seen. A pond lies right in front of the temple. Overall five cisterns can be found on this fort out of which water from one of these cisterns is potable. The magnificent rock cut steps, fort remains and a pleasant climate to top it all with the arrival of monsoons calls for a visit to this place.
There are total 117 steps carved beautifully in the rock patch and you really feel like flying on the wings of the wind when there is a very windy and rainy weather while climbing up the steps.Harihar offers breath taking view of the surrounding area. One can observe forts like Basgad, Bramhagiri, Nagfani etc.

VRangers trek to sarasgad on 4th Aug 2012


SARASGAD: Pali, one out of the eight “Ashtavinayak” Ganesh Temples is also the place where Sarasgad is located. Lord Ganesh of Pali is named ‘Ballaleshwar’ and located just behind the temple can be seen the ramparts of Sarasgad fort. The fort was mainly used to keep a check on the surrounding regions. From the fort, Pali and all surrounding areas can be seen. Shivaji Maharaj brought this fort under Swarajya and spent 2000 Hon (the prevailing currency) for its reconstruction. Till independence this fort was under Bhor Sansthan.

Waterfall Rappelling & flying fox At Vihi on 25-26th Aug 2012


Waterfall Rappelling Also technically known as canyoning and canyoneering  are more often associated with technical descents those that require rappels (abseils) and rope work, down-climbing. An adventure sport, where you walk down a cliff amidst the gushing waterfall

Flying fox is adventure activity where the participant does an aerial rope slide using a pulley suspended on a cable/rope mounted on an incline. It is designed to enable a user propelled by gravity to traverse from the top to the bottom across the inclined cable.

Grade: Thrilling

Trek to Matheran via garbett point on 5 Aug 2012


Matheran is an eco-sensitive region, declared by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India. It is one of the few places in the world where vehicles are not allowed, which makes the place different from others. Matheran takes you over a hundred years back in time when there were no vehicles. The climate of Matheran is chill. The most impressive things about Matheran are dense forest and the waterfalls, especially in rainy season. The beauty of the hill station gets doubled in monsoon.

Far away from the tumult of the urban life, peeping through the white fleecy clouds, Bhimashankar can be termed a pilgrim paradise. The dense forests surrounding the high ranges are an abode for rare species of flora and fauna. Situated at the extreme end of the Sahyadri Ranges, this place gives a wonderful view of the world around the rivers, and hill stations.

Chanderi trek on 8th July 2012


Although worth mentioning as the jewel in the crown of forts in the district of Raigad, there is no significant history attached to this fort. Near the caves on the fort are visible some remnants of fortification. This is the only sign to designate Chanderi as a fort. Chanderi is famous for water streams and its difficult route.
